We advise on taxation of gas
exploration and production operations, tax issues regarding concession,
participation, and joint operating agreements, corporate restructuring,
operations of airline companies, reimbursement of VAT, customs; we
represent clients in disputes with the tax authorities. In 1992, we
obtained the first Opinion Letters from the Ministry of Finance on tax
issues in relation to petroleum exploration and production contracts
signed by foreign investors. We advised accounting firms on various
legal issues.
